Alice married Daniel Flowerdew, who for a few years held a government post in Jamaica. After his death in 1801, she kept a ladies’ boarding school in Islington, England. During that time, she was a member of the General Baptist congregation in Worship Street (later renamed Bethnal Green Road). Subsequently, she moved to Bury St. Edmunds, and some years later to Ipswich. Her works include:
