Biography

A min­is­ter, Ely served the church in El­li­cott­ville, New York, start­ing his min­is­try there on July 11, 1868, and sta­ying less than a year.

He al­so per­formed mar­riage ce­re­mo­nies in var­ious New York lo­ca­tions, in­clud­ing Un­ion Springs and Nor­wich.

Based on lo­ca­tion and time­frame, we spe­cu­late he might be Is­aac Mills Ely (1819–1880), who is bur­ied in Bark­er, New York.
