As of 2005, Ed­wards was sen­ior pas­tor of Christ Lu­ther­an Church in Ma­ri­et­ta, Geor­gia.

His hymns have ap­peared in hym­nals used by 30 de­no­mi­na­tions in Am­er­i­ca, Ca­na­da, Ja­pan, Aus­tra­lia, and New Zea­land. Has al­so pro­duced an­thems and CD’s in Eng­land, Scot­land, Swe­den, Ger­ma­ny and Am­er­i­ca.

He has co-au­thored hymns with a va­ri­e­ty of writ­ers, in­clud­ing Dave Bru­beck, Pe­ter Erskine, Shir­ley Mur­ray, Su­sanne Ba­gen­felt, Lin­da Ca­ble Shute, Hal Hop­son and Jen­ni Lee Boy­den.
