Died: Spring 1820, Wood­stock, New York.

Biography

Edson was a black­smith, and al­so owned a farm. Af­ter mar­ry­ing in 1770, he sold his farm, then roamed about, prob­ab­ly teach­ing sing­ing, for six years.

In 1776, he moved to New York. Af­ter the Am­er­ican re­vo­lu­tion, he taught sing­ing in Mas­sa­chu­setts, New York, and Con­nec­ti­cut.

He moved to Wood­stock, New York, in 1817.
