Born: Au­gust 28, 1871, De­troit, Mi­chi­gan. Birth name: Ell­en Lo­ret­ta Mc­Cur­dy. At an ear­ly age, she was given her step­fa­ther­s sur­name, Richm­ond.

Died: No­vem­ber 15, 1944, Kan­sas Ci­ty, Missouri of a heart at­tack.

Buried: Elmwood Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.

Nelle was the daugh­ter of John Tho­mas Mc­Cur­dy and Co­ra Ame­lia New­ton, and wife of physician Os­car Eb­er­hart.
