Son of Will­iam Dug­more, Q. C., Er­nest was ed­u­cat­ed at Bruce Cast­le School, by pri­vate tu­tors, and at Wad­ham Coll­ege, Ox­ford (BA 1867, MA 1869). Or­dained in 1867, he was Cur­ate at St. Pe­ter’s, Vaux­hall (1867-72); Vi­car of Park­stone (1872); and Can­on of Sar­um and Pre­ben­da­ry of Gil­ling­ham Ma­jor (1900). His works in­clude:
