Drewett stu­died at the Roy­al Acad­e­my of Mu­sic un­der Charles Steg­gall, and served as or­gan­ist at Hare­court Con­gre­ga­tion­al Cha­pel, Lon­don; the Ger­man Lu­ther­an Church, Dals­ton (1893-1905); and the Ger­man Em­bas­sy Church, Bromp­ton.
