Henrietta was the daught­er of Lieu­te­nant Col­o­nel Hen­ry Bay­nes, Roy­al Ar­til­le­ry, and Hen­ri­et­ta Le Mar­chant, and wife of de Lisle de Beau­voir Do­bree, whom she mar­ried at St. Pe­ter Port, Guern­sey, some time be­fore 1859. Her sis­ter was hym­nist Fran­ces Brock.
