Biography

Depew at­tend­ed Tri­ni­ty Col­lege, and served as or­gan­ist and choir­mas­ter of the First Pres­by­te­ri­an Church in De­troit, Mi­chi­gan.

Around 1904, he moved to New York Ci­ty, where he played the or­gan at the John Wa­na­ma­ker Au­di­tor­i­um; Ply­mouth Church, Brook­lyn; St. Ni­cho­las Col­le­gi­ate Church; and the Ca­pi­tol and Strand The­a­ters.
