Died: Oc­tob­er 1907, Swan­sea dis­trict, West Gla­mor­gan, Wales.

Buried: Garth, Clwyd, Wales.

Biography

Davies went to work in the brick­fields at age eight, work­ing his way up to be­come de­pu­ty ma­na­ger.

His re­ceived his mu­sic­al train­ing from Jo­seph Ow­en, school mas­ter of Rhos. He even­tu­al­ly com­posed 200 piec­es, and ed­it­ed Cerddor y To­nic Sol-fa.

He was or­dained a Me­tho­dist min­is­ter in 1895, and went to Swan­sea to take charge of Smyr­na cha­pel, Plas­marl.
