Died: May 2, 1535, Wit­ten­berg, Ger­ma­ny.

Biography

Elisabethe was the daugh­ter of a fa­mi­ly of Po­lish no­bi­li­ty who sought re­fuge from per­se­cu­tion at Wit­ten­berg.

In 1524, she mar­ried Cas­par Cru­ci­ger, son of a Leip­zig bur­gess, who was stu­dy­ing in Wit­ten­berg.

She and her hus­band were friends of Mar­tin Lu­ther and his wife Ka­ther­ine.
