Biography

Trained as a phy­si­cian, Crabbe left the me­di­cal pro­fess­ion and, af­ter tak­ing Ho­ly Orders, was suc­cess­ive­ly cur­ate of Ald­bo­rough, and of Strath­ern, and in­cum­bent of Ev­er­shot, Mirs­ton and Trow­bridge.

Though re­cog­nized as a po­et, his hymns are few and not wide­ly known.
