Ed­u­cat­ed at Hox­ton Coll­ege, Cob­bin en­tered the Con­gre­ga­tion­al min­is­try in 1802. He suc­cess­ive­ly pas­tored at Ban­bu­ry, Holl­o­way, Put­ney and Cred­it­on, and was for some time Se­cre­ta­ry of the Lon­don Home Miss­ion­a­ry So­ci­e­ty. His works in­clude:
