Biography

Alexander was the son of Sam­uel Clark and Chris­tine Mc­Ken­zie, and hus­band of Anne Ma­rie Daugh­aday.

A Me­tho­dist Epis­co­pal min­is­ter, he ed­it­ed and wrote for The School­day Ma­ga­zine (1851–59), and ed­it­ed the Me­tho­dist Re­port­er in Pitts­burgh, Penn­syl­van­ia (1870–79).
