Clark was educated at the grammar school in Chesterfield and at St. John’s College, Cambridge, where he graduated in 1861. On taking Holy Orders, he became Curate of Barmby Moor and Fangfoss. After working various parishes, he became, in 1870, Vicar of West Dereham, Norfolk. His works include:
