Died: Cir­ca Sep­tem­ber 10, 1933, at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Ab­ner Shi­ve­ley, Mif­flin­burg, Penn­syl­van­ia.

Buried: Long Ce­me­te­ry, Mif­flin­burg Penn­syl­van­ia.

Biography

Isaiah was the son of Will­iam Cham­bers. He mar­ried twice, to An­nie Weav­er and Lou­ise Eb­er­sole Rey­nolds.

He stu­died for three years at Dick­in­son Se­mi­na­ry, four years at La­fay­ette, and three years at the Theo­lo­gic­al Col­lege in New York.

Ordained a Pres­by­te­ri­an min­is­ter, his first pas­tor­ate was in Mer­chant­ville, New Jer­sey, where he stayed 27 years.

He moved from Mer­chant­ville to Lewes, De­la­ware, where he preached se­ver­al years be­fore re­sign­ing due to ill health. He then moved to Phi­la­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia, and lat­er to Pal­my­ra, New Jer­sey.
