Daughter of A. Mont­gom­ery Camp­bell (rec­tor of St. James’ Church, Pad­ding­ton, Hyde Park, Lon­don) Jane con­trib­ut­ed a number of hymns trans­lat­ed from German to Charles S. Bere’s Gar­land of Songs; or, an Eng­lish Lied­er­kranz (1862), and to his Child­ren’s Chor­al Book (1869). She al­so pub­lished A Hand­book for Sing­ers (Lon­don: So­ci­e­ty for the Pro­mo­tion of Christ­ian Know­ledge); this small work con­tains the mu­sic­al ex­er­cis­es she taught in her fa­ther’s par­ish school.
