Biography

George was the son of Pugh Van Bur­en Byrd and Sar­ah Bur­row, and hus­band of Ber­tha Ei­lean Mc­Ma­han.

He was a Me­tho­dist min­is­ter, and later a bi­shop in the Me­tho­dist Hols­ton Con­fer­ence, liv­ing in Day­ton, Ten­nes­see.
