Biography

Benjamin was the son of Sam­uel F. Butts and Han­nah Col­ton. He mar­ried three times: To Eva Grace Lam­bright, Mary Em­ma Raw­lings, and On­na Bar­rett Mills.

He stu­died mu­sic at a young age, but start­ed his adult ca­reer in bu­si­ness in Kan­sas Ci­ty. He en­tered the ev­an­gel­ism field in 1888.
