Biography

A Bap­tist layman, Bur­ton wrote a num­ber of hymns, and helped com­pile the Nott­ing­ham Sun­day School Un­ion Hymn Book in 1810. This hym­nal went through 20 ed­it­ions over the next half cen­tu­ry.
