Biography

Brewer trained for a ca­reer in com­merce, but be­came a con­gre­ga­tion­al min­is­ter ins­tead.

He be­gan preach­ing at age 22, and pas­tored at Rod­bor­ough, Glou­ces­ter­shire; Shef­field (1783); Carr’s Lane Cha­pel, Birm­ing­ham (1798); Rod­bor­ough Bap­tist Church (1799); and the Liv­ery Street Cha­pel, Birm­ing­ham.

A mem­oir of him ap­peared in the Ev­an­ge­li­cal Re­gi­ster, 1835.
