Biography

Breedlove taught sing­ing schools and spread Sac­red Harp style sing­ing in Geor­gia and neigh­bor­ing states.

He served as sec­re­ta­ry of the Sou­thern Mu­sic­al Con­ven­tion (1845–50), and was on the re­vi­sion com­mit­tee for the Sac­red Harp book in 1850.
