There is a memorial marker to Brad­street in the Old North Parish Bur­y­ing Ground, North An­do­ver, Mas­sa­chu­setts, but her actual grave location is uncertain.

Anne was the daughter of Tho­mas Dud­ley (steward of the Earl of Lin­coln, and second gov­er­nor of the Mas­sa­chu­setts Bay Colony) and Do­ro­thy Yorke, and wife of Simon Brad­street (twice governor of the Mas­sa­chu­setts Bay Colony).

She is remembered as the first Pur­i­tan figure in Am­er­i­can literature, and the first published writer in the Bri­tain’s Am­er­i­can colonies. Her works in­clude:
