Mary was the daughter of Jo­seph Cot­ter­ill, some time Rector of Blake­ney, Nor­folk, and wife of Ed­mund Dew­ar Bour­dil­lon, son of the Vicar of Fen­stan­ton, Hunt­ing­don­shire (married 1843).
