Son of Charles Hudson and Bathsheba Whittaker Booth, Christopher emigrated to America in 1895, becoming a naturalized citizen in 1905. He lived in New York City, worked with the Victor Talking Machine Company (1905), played for Red Seal artists, and was organist and choirmaster at Church of the Advent (1909–39). He was also a conductor and composer, with works including:
