Educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge (BA 1862, MA 1876), Body served as Curate of St. James, Wednesbury (1863-65); Sedgley (1865-67); Curate of Christ Church, Wolverhampton (1867-70); Rector of Kirby-Misperton (1870-74); Canon of Durham and Missioner of the Diocese (1883); and Proctor for the Archdeaconry of Cleveland (1880-85). In 1885, he received an honorary DD degree from Durham University. His works include:
