Biography

Talmage was the son of John Will­iam Bit­ti­ko­fer and Sar­ah An­na Wal­ther, and hus­band of Ed­ythe Ev­elyn Carl­son.

He at­tend­ed the con­ser­va­to­ry at Hei­del­berg Uni­ver­si­ty, Tif­fin, Ohio.

As of 1930, he was on the Mu­sic De­part­ment fa­cul­ty at the Moo­dy Bi­ble In­st­itute, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois.
