Baum joined the Christ­ian Science Church in 1900. She thereafter lived in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, and worked for The Christ­ian Science Monitor through part of that time. Seven of her hymns appeared in the Christian Science Hymnal (Bo­ston, Mas­sa­chusetts: Christ­ian Science Publishing Society, 1937), several bearing copyright dates of 1932. Her works include:
