An au­thor of po­et­ry and short stor­ies, Bab­cock lived in Ny­ack, New York; New York Ci­ty; Nan­tuck­et, Mas­sa­chu­setts; and over­seas.

She con­trib­ut­ed nu­mer­ous ar­ti­cles to Har­per’s Ma­ga­zine, 1900–20.
