Biography

Ayers wrote the Sun­ny Jim ad­ver­tis­ing jin­gles in the early 20th Cen­tu­ry, and was some­times called Sun­ny Min­ny Maud. She al­so wrote jin­gles for the Her­ald, Am­er­i­can and World news­pa­pers in New York Ci­ty, and posed for Charles Da­na Gib­son as a Gib­son Girl.

She and her daugh­ter ran the Ma­ry B. Ay­ers Press, which pub­lished child­ren’s stor­ies.
