Biography

John was the son of Tho­mas Ai­ton and Ma­ry Han­nah Good­in, and hus­band of Ida The­re­sa Kul­len­berg (mar­ried 1894).

He moved to Tex­as Sep­tem­ber 19, 1878, and grew up in Creed­moor.

He ini­tial­ly stu­died me­di­cine, but lat­er moved in­to preach­ing and song writ­ing full time.
