Biography

Rupert, a min­is­ter, was the son of Grov­er Cleve­land Crav­ens and Maude Etha Bo­li­an, and hus­band of Ruth Lou­ise Shoaf (mar­ried 1943).

He was educated at Lam­buth Col­lege, Jack­son, Ten­ne­ssee; Tre­vec­ca Col­lege of the Na­za­rene, Nash­ville, Ten­nes­see; and the Church of the Na­za­rene Se­mi­na­ry, Kan­sas City, Mis­sou­ri. He al­so stu­died at the Vaugh­an School of Mu­sic in Law­rence­burg, Ten­nes­see.
