Born: 1644, Gols, Aus­tria (now Bra­ti­sla­va, Slo­va­kia).

Died: Wei­mar, Ger­ma­ny.

Buried: Ap­ril 11, 1704.

Biography

Strattner was Ka­pell­meis­ter at the court of Ba­den-Dur­lach, at the Bar­füss­er­kirche in Frank­furt am Main. In 1694 he be­came vice-Ka­pell­meis­ter in Wei­mar.

He is per­haps best re­mem­bered for com­pil­ing the fifth edi­tion of Jo­ach­im Ne­an­der’s Col­lected Hymns in 1691.
